Most of us wish to travel around the world at some point of time in our lives. And as such due to work demands there are many who constantly travel around the world on business trips. Of course they would find it pretty hectic without a doubt. Working 24x7 flying all around at all times is never an easy task. And the least they would expect out of such a scenario would be to travel in comfort. As frequent flyers it is very difficult to travel in economy class. Once in a while would be fine, but frequently would tear your body apart. On the other extreme you have first class lounge. First class tickets are quite expensive but indeed the best way to travel. They have all the comforts and benefits you’ll ever need. In order to compensate and bring out a balance airline service providers have come up with budget business class tickets which are quite moderate in terms of pricing and has most of the benefits that a first class would have. And as such ever since this class came in to the market the number of passengers flying everyday to other countries have almost doubled.
The very example of such a scenario is well displayed according to Munich airport. Munich airport is located at about 28.5 kms northeast of Munich city in Germany. It is hub of airlines especially for Lufthansa and Star Alliance partner’s airline service providers. For its convenience to accommodate more flights, it is located at a very busy location enclosing 4 different municipalities namely Oberding, Hallbergmoos, Freising, and Marzling respectively. Their results show an increase from 15 million passengers to roughly about 30 million passengers in the last decade in between 1995-2006. This result stands true despite the 9/11 attacks in America. In terms of transit as well, large number of flights stop at Munich before continuing its journey towards the respective destination. The airport itself is quite large and you have all the facilities you would ever require. People travelling to different destination can use this place like a pit stop for a race car. You have shopping malls, book stores, restaurants, rest rooms with every facility ever available in the market, Bars, separate smoking lounge (Which is very important for smokers as you are not allowed to smoke during the journey) etc. There are about two terminals namely terminal 1 and terminal 2. Terminal one is the older terminal it has roughly about 25 million passengers per annum in terms of capacity. The whole terminal is divided in to modules as A, B, C, D, and E. Terminal 2 also have the same capacity and it is the hub for both Lufthansa and Star Alliance airline service providers.
The MAC (Munich Airport Center) is the shopping, business and recreation area connecting the two terminals and you can find everything you would ever need over here. All the details regarding travelling to Munich and its facilities are available online. Booking tickets early also gets you great discounts.
